Yoga vs Gymnastics

(I apologize ahead of time if this is the wrong section for this thread)

So i was thinking of starting to double up my weight training with some sort of other physical activity since golf isn't particularly intensive. Two options that came to mind were Gymnastics and Yoga since I've always been slightly interested in both, but never considered taking them up this young.

However, i know very little about the two other than the general idea that yoga is stretching, and gymnastics is geared more towards the application of physical movement and flexibility. What i need to know is which of the two would be the best option if i plan on doing this long term and if any, which specific course should i take.

Re: Yoga vs Gymnastics

im pretty sure gymnastics is harder, and they will start you up on easy exercises and baby you, yoga is alright feels refreshing when your done, but if you plan to do some gymnastics you need yoga in there too.

I agree, if i was you, i would do gymnastics, as yoga will play a big part of the gymnastics also

Re: Yoga vs Gymnastics

Weight training and Gynastics do NOT mix. Unless you WANT to be a gymnast........go w/ Yoga. 2-3X/week

ahh I see...well in that case I will follow through with both gymnastics and yoga this upcoming summer. Hopefully it will fare well with my current routine because I'm obsessed with performing the Human Flag and having that kind of agile flexibility to compliment my strength.
