Antagonistic supersets !!!

You perform two exercises back to back that work the opposing muscle groups. Once youve performed your sets, move straight onto the second set without much rest. Rest for one minute and then start again. When you do two exercises in a row for the same muscle group, it significantly limits the amount of weight you can use. Whilst your working your opposing muscle group, the opposite muscle is being stretched, ready for the next set.

Exercises such as...
Bench press - Bent over row
Bicep curls - Tricep Dips
Etc Etc

What do people think about using this style?

I need to know everything about this cycle. I don't start it until 2 months from now. My main goal was really strength rather than gain, I have put about 25lbs, no massive change in my tummy area. And I did achieve that goal. Now for cutting, I have researched and read some weird stuff about it. What is this juicing up and injecting things during the cutting cycle? It sounds like overdosing steroids. WTF I don't wanna do that. And there is really noway of doing the cutting cycle without those supplements or testosterone pills I've read. I want to keep my muscle and strength, if it would take a year, I will be very patient. Now how do I go on about doing this?

I took a break from working out for about 2 months but started back up in July. Im 5"10 and weighed 167 then. Im now 190 and not sure where the weight is going. My chest is 42" and biceps a mere 14.5" flexed. I feel the same as I was before and I am not getting any more cut but not fat either. Maybe its just me though? My before the break routine was a full body workout every other day. I did a little research and the gains were from the new routine I would suppose, 3 days in a row with a split

Day 1 - Bis/Shoulders/Thighs/Traps
Day 2 - Chest/Tris/Abs/Calvs
Day 3 - Back/Lats/Delts

I try and keep it under an hour doing 3 sets at 12,10,8 with increasing weight and sometimes doing 2 alternating exercises with minimal breaks. I get around 7-10 different exercises in as well.
I still want to get bigger but also defined. Do I need to take this in two different steps or should I just change around my routine? Not really sure where to go from here.

So I am back on diet. I wan't to gain about 5-8lbs and stay. I really like the shape the last contest put me in. So I got screwed...or did I? I got leaner than the show in April, Susan loves it, and people are staring at the gym.

As much as I hate the Politics in BB'ing....it does a body good to set a date and get in shape by that date, other wise what are you doing. CM wants bigger forearms....so he is ATTACKING...not wishing.

I'm not a big BB'er, But you should hear people as they ride by or see me on the Mt. Bike rides. "Jesus..did you see that guy?" Or "Dude those are the biggest arms ever" Hence the name Big Guns. Or when I tell people that I'm more into biking then BB'ing. My arms are arounds 17.5, but cut and that makes them look bigger. I don't look like I weigh 203. In my Siigy pic I weigh 203!!!At 6'2"

There is a TON of great advice given on this site. Quit worrying about what sup. will make me huge. Eat proper, Train proper, Grow proper.

So get out there, set a date and bust your ass to hit that date.

I went to a gym for a while and they did not offer an unassisted bench press so I rapidly increased on the assisted one. Got all the way up to 305lbs. So anyways I had to switch to a new gym because I moved and this one did not have the assisted one. Sadly enough I can barely put up 180. Is there a significant difference between using the two?

so i'm 16, and my main issue is my chest. I used to only bench because i was a stupid a$$ freshmen with no guidence. Now i am a junior and have educated myself to fix my problem. My problem being that i have these large round untoned tits of muscle that really bother me. So here is the chest program i designed for my self:
3x15 at 125 wide grip flat bench (for inner definition?)
2x15 at 115 incline (upper chest)
3x12 40lb flat dumbell press
3x12 40lb incline dumbell press

As long as i do this workout, and make my arms catch up with my chest I think i will be in good shape but am not sure, please share you opinions, i really dont have room for error.
P.S. I have no fat on my chest, its just ugly muscle

Hey guys,

Im new to the site and would appreciate any help you can give me as I'm trying to put together a workout routine focused on putting on some size.

Heres a little bit about me:

Im 31 years old and am trying to get back into lifting. I'm 6'2 and 175lbs. Despite having long legs most of my mass is in my upper body. I have very long arms that aren't ethiopian, starving child thin but could use a little added muscle. My chest is pretty developed but could always use some work and I have a flat stomach. My legs are really long but I have never been able to make any significant gains in this area and sadly there are chickens out there that would be embarassed to have my legs. Help me!

I am in the military so I do exercise regularly just haven't lifted in a couple of years and am looking for help in making a routine that might be geared towards someone with my build.

Any help would be appreciated.
