I am 47 and have been training for 20yrs+. And I don't intend stopping anytime soon.<br />
I was a skinny hard gainer all those yrs ago, but I ain't one no more!:thumbup:<br />
This looks like an excellent site.<br />
I look forward to sharing views and info with y'all.<br />
Sharing the know how I have gained over the years.<br />
I also hope to pick up new ideas...afterall, one is never too old to learn..</div>

I am Jon, 35, father of 1.83 (2nd due in 3 weeks!). Used to do lots of martial arts and some weight training, been really slack for the last 3 or 4 years. <br />
<br />
This week I tidied my garage up, cleared the toys, paddling pools and bikes from the power rack and free weights, and had a good session. <br />
<br />
My aim is to get fit, lose fat, build some sexy muscle! (probably more or less the same as most people here...?)<br />
<br />
My routine last Tuesday 11th:<br />
<br />
Squat<br />
Bench Press<br />
Pull-ups (Negatives)<br />
Seated Tricep Extension<br />
Barbell Curl<br />
<br />
<br />
I was WEAK. My thighs and pecs are still hurting today. <br />
<br />
One big aim I have is to do pull ups. If I get strong enough (and light enough) do pull ups, I'll die happy.</div>

I have managed to haul my ass back into the gym after oh...20+ years of being out of one and I have to admit....I'm absolutely LOVING IT!!!  I started going to occupy myself from quitting smoking (yeah me....6 months and counting!) and to try to keep those extra pounds off.<br />
<br />
I'm currently in the gym 4 days a week, slowly starting to spend more time in the free weight section than on the elliptical.  And I'm liking the muscles that are starting to show.  Now if I could just get rid of this dreaded C-section lower ab pooch I'd be thrilled!!<br />
<br />
Anyhow, I'll be reading more than posting most likely and any suggestions ya'll have on the lower abs, I'll be happy to give a go at!<br />

Quick intro, I'm male, 44, and have been dedicated to our (my wife and me) 2009 new year resolution, and am pretty proud of our individual successes.<br />
<br />
We were on holiday almost exactly 12 months ago, and had our photos taken, we really had let ourselves go, I was 235 lbs, though I am 6ft2, still shocking.<br />
<br />
New years day my wife said we're joining a gym when it opens tomorrow and changing our lifestyle, I've since lost ~ 42lbs, now 193 lbs, my wife (she may be along later) even more.<br />
<br />
I've not felt or looked this good for years -apart from the grey hair , and my wife looks pretty darn good too.<br />
<br />
I've rambled on for long enough.<br />
