buff I am...astounded.

I really started working my arse off at the beginning of this month, doing two to three hard workouts a day. My diet I've been paying attention to - plenty of lean poultry and meat, fish, fruit and veg, nuts, oats and dairy plus my portions have been reduced down.

I'm just...gobsmacked right now. Out of morbid curiosity I went and jumped on the scales instead of waiting till the end of the month.

I'm down nine pounds...in nineteen days...

I've NEVER dropped that much!!! EVER!!!

That's because you NEVER trained and ate like you do now!!! CONGRADULATIONS...That's F'in AWESOME..I am very happy for ya!!

Just becareful to keep the good foods in and Vitamins. Don't overtrain either. Be smart about it. The losses will eventually slow a bit. Looks like you are going BONZI to the end!! Keep it up.

True inspiration for everyone here!!!!!

Re: I am...astounded.

Thanks BG.

I'm trying to hard not to overdo it but I feel awesome.

I mean today, I did a 2 mile slow jog, an eight mile walk and some bloody intense weight training - and I STILL feel like I didn't do enough!

Fucking crazy really.

Re: I am...astounded.

Thanks CM!

You know what bugs me? I told my mum who said "congrats", and then she started moaning that she couldn't lose any - while munching her way through a box of chocolates!

My sister saw my status on Facebook (yes, I was that impressed with myself lol), and reckons that its because I've been skipping eating chocolate. She's also not happy because "at least you have the time for it, it's not like you do anything else".

Yeah, thanks sis...jealousy, much?

Thing is, there's nothing stopping her from doing it and yet she won't. My mum, on the other hand, is far older and put on a lot of weight after dad died which she's having trouble shifting. I think I'll just take her in hand and do some exercise with her, show her how to eat, that kind of thing.

Why can't my sis just be happy for me? It's like she WANTS me to be fat because she is (although she's not what I'd call big anyway).

Re: I am...astounded.

Let me get this straight...."You have time for this"....Don't you have 2 little ones? and isn't the love of you life overseas?
All I can say to people like that is I make time. Instead of playing X-box, or hitting hapy hour I spend 1.5 hours to treat myself to ME!!!

Never ceases to amaze me how people will make excuses for being LAZY!!! Just smile and LIVE YOUR LIFE!!!!!

Congrats!!

I have three kids (5, 10 and 12), my fiance is overseas and I haven't seen him for nearly four years, I have a degree I'm studying for, I volunteer with St John Ambulance and the Suffolk Wildlife Trust, help run a St John Ambulance cadet group and I'm a parent governor.

Yeah, I have lots of time...
