My first week back after a month and a half of construction

Heres some pictures taken last week, which was my first week back working out. Like i said in the title, the last month and a half I have been doing pretty heavy construction work which kind of stopped me from working out. My current weight is 166 lbs, and I am about 5'6"

Thanks man. I saw your myspace pics, you look like your doing good yourself, got a good lean base. I'm the opposite, I tend to naturally be more bulky (I was always kinda the heavier kid out of my friends), although I have no trouble cutting down if I have to.

What do you guys think? should I bulk up to maybe 175 or should I cut down first?

Thx alot everyone. It feels good that I have pushed past my plateau of 150-155lbs and gotten up to 167 (171 at night w/ water weight/food) and right now, I'm pretty much doing like all of you are suggesting. I'm not cutting nor am I bulking, I'm just working out, eating right, and doing a good amount of cardio every day.

I really appreciate all the positive feedback. That's what makes EB great, everyone has a positive attitude and is very encouraging.

I'm not here to critisize, but just wanted to know what your goals were because unless you are on a deficit you'll not lose, yet if you are not on a surplus you won't gain...I realize that you know that, but was just curious as to what you are working towards...or are you looking to maintain?

Well, what I'm working towards is either lean mass gain, or slow reduction in bodyfat. The thing is, I'm just eating alot (clean foods about 95% of the time), working out, and doing cardio, and I will see what happens. I'm just not being so strict anymore because it was just too difficult to track every calorie I ate every day. If in a little bit I see I'm gaining fat or losing muscle, I'll adjust. Right now I'm eating about 3500 calories give or take a few hundred, depending on the day, drinking a gallon of water, getting enough protein, and taking some supps. I'm at a point where I want to bulk up more, but I also wouldn't mind if I lost some bodyfat, so I'm kinda letting my body make the decision.

BTW, I don't mind criticizing or anything. I'm here for that and to learn, so ask whatever you want.
