Rep Power: 100796 | what would you see as more rewarding?? a) working with younger (-12 years of age) kids and introducing them into exercise and fitness
b) working wit athletes with injuries and rehabilitating them back to competition status
c) working with general population (all ages) rehabilitating them back to being independant with their basic motor skills.
story behind this, i've always had a big interest in sports medicine and today's doctor visit made that interest spark back up. however, it'd be so rewarding to see a patient who was electricuted learn to walk and function properly again (no joking about this situation please, very personal). Yet I'd love to introduce a healthy lifstyle to younger ages and have them start off right since they are our future.
your imput is greatly appreciated. |

Rep Power: 1226 | A and C would be most rewarding in my opinion. Kids and people with disabilities would be much more grateful for your help and you would be more likely to have a big impact on their enjoyment of life in a personal sort of way.
An athlete has tough mental conditioning and unless they have a very serious injury, will just get on with it and overcome it without thinking too much of it once it's over. From what I've seen, athletes don't really care for the "little" people, the ones behind the scenes. One physio is the same as another. They are self-important and determined, which is why they succeed at what they do! They don't have time for anyone else. But hey, maybe I have that wrong! |

Seriously, though, either a or c would do me fine.
Good Q, btw. |

Rep Power: 318 | This is a decision I will have to make eventually too, im going for my DPT(doctor of physical therapy) I have trained a few people just for fitness and I feel greatly rewarded when they see progress I can only imagine how it will be when I am helping people function again. That being said i would have to go with the general public one where u help everyone. That is what I would choose but everyone one is different go and observe someone that does all of them and see which one u are the most passionate about. Nothing is better than when u can go to work every day ready to do something u love. Good luck! |
