Rep Power: 101357 | Ultimate Fighting Works The title says it all. I trained Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai boxing. It's been about 5 to 6 years since I trained.
The other day, a driver tried to leave me on the job that I went to go help him with. I told him that "hell no," he was not going to do that. I told him not to ever try that shit with me again. He said, "wait until I meet up with you face to face." Well, yesterday morning I gave him the opportunity to say whatever he wanted to say. We had our words and went on about our work for the day.
This morning, he came in all fired up and wanted me to do something. I laughed at him. The conversation escalated and he made his move...... and I made mine. I slammed him up against the lockers, got tied up in a clinch, I delivered a couple of knees in the clinch and fell back through the door leading outside. I couldn't pull guard, so I flipped him over me onto his back. I scrabled for position and landed in side mount, securing a hammer lock. Some people call it a key lock, or Americana. He screamed, "Oww! you're breaking my arm!" I assured him that his arm was not broken, and he needed to calm down. He straightened his arm and I let him because I would have indeed broken his shoulder if I would have kept cranking. I reminded him that I was ready to drop elbows if he wouldn't calm down. He started crying.
I got up, but he claimed he couldn't get up. Another driver called the owner of the company. The victim asked for an ambulance. I told him to quit faking, and that if his arm was broken, it made no difference on his leg's ability to raise him up. They took him off in the ambulace, and I'm facing possible termination. It sucks, it's like...... you either get your ass beat, or you kick ass, and face consequences. Either way, you get screwed. |

I would have done the same...well I would have tried!! LOL

Rep Power: 101357 | Re: Ultimate Fighting Works He is shorter than I. He took his work shirt off the other day and I noticed that he definately had shape. He had meaty arms. Almost looked like he used to wrestle in high school. As far as I was concerned, the whole ordeal was over. But he actually came in looking for trouble this morning. He wouldn't give me a way out. He said, "No way, you opened up a can of worms yesterday morning and I'm going to finish it today." Well, he was finished all right.
I talked to the owner of the company and told him that I was off the clock, and I was threatened and attacked by an employee of his company. Yes, he got carried off in the ambulance, but he had it coming. I had to defend myself. I've gotten phone calls all day from drivers telling me that they are so glad I kicked this guys ass. They're having a field day with it. Everyone is saying, "oh hell yeah, Critical Mass has been a cage fighter for years!" The truth is, I haven't trained seriously since 2003. The owner himself told me that he doesn't want to fire either one of us. I await his call this evening. I already have something else lined up just in case.
Be careful kids. MMA can be fun when you train, and you gain a good amount of confidence when you learn solid self defence skills. But on the street, use at least a little bit of discretion because the average man doesn't know this stuff and you can hurt people real quick. This shit actually works. You don't want to get slapped with a felony because you broke someone's bones. If your life is in danger, cripple them at the very least if you can't kill them. But if it's just a fight over some nonsense, you don't want to fully extend that armbar or hammer lock, heel hook, or kimura to the breaking point. |

Minus the year of MMA training I did myself
You are right though. If you trained, once you clinch or go to the ground with someone with no training, unless they completely outsize you, you will destroy them. It's always nice to have free reign to take any ground position you chose because the other guy doesn't realize a mount is when you sit on their chest and beat their face in. |

Rep Power: 101357 | Re: Ultimate Fighting Works Yup. When I had side mount and let go of the lock, he tried to hit me. I said, "hey man, I'm ready to drop elbows on your ass so calm down!" My elbow was resting on his chin. |
