I dropped skateboarding back in 1995. It was time to grow up and get married. I just bought a skateboard off of a friend who had it hanging up in the garage. I went to a skatepark last night. My family came too. We want to get my 3 year old son a little skateboard. Man look, I'm 34 years old. What am I doing?
I was doing ollie impossibles over gaps, nose blunt slides on benches, 360 kickflips, and sliding handrails before many of those teenagers there last night were even born. It took me a few runs to get used to the mini halfpipe, but I eventually did a little run on it.
I think I'll just cruise. Like I said, I'm 34. I can still do some tricks, but I think I'll just carve around on the ramps. I'm gonna buy a new skateboard. One thats a little wider.
