It's all of us meat heads sweating.
I agrre w/ Chris and Wala. Where are the Dinasors....oh yeah, Global cooling, now we are in global warming, soon to be followed by cooling. Al Gore will do anything to be in the limelight. What his last flight in a Private Jet from Tenn. to CA produced, he could have driven in a car 15 times!!! Hope the flight was smooth. Has anyone ever thought that the Sun expanded? Stars do that ya know. It would take a long time for the effects to reach the Earth. Stars expand and contract.

I'm glad you metioned that man about the sun!!

In the TV program I watched that I talked about above, they had some amazing evidence linking the average temp on earth with 'sun spots'

What are sun spots?? When you see a close up of the sun taken with a really goof NASA type camera, you see lots of black spots on the sun. Sometimes there are lots, sometimes there aren't many. The actually spots are bursts of energy comming from the sun.

So, what these scientists did was have a graph of the amount of sunspots taken from records from when they began years and years ago (hundreds of years)

Some other scientists also have a graph of the temperature on earth from when records began..

Somehow, one scientist come across the others findings and what happened? the two graphs fitted together perfectly!

They said that without a doubt, warming on earth is due to these sunspots - or rays that eventually get to earth and warm the place up.

With that in mind - there is NOTHING we can do about what the sun does, the sun is our life source and is the daddy and we also cant get close enough to ever do anything to it, not that anything exists that would even remotely change anything to do with the sun.

I really wish someone could find a vid on youtube of this program!?!?

They're not saying that WE are the only cause of it wala, just that our activity has exacerbated it, that's all.

It is a naturally-occurring phenomenon, that's not even disputed, but we've made it far worse and brought the climate shift in earlier than it would have been if left to run it's natural course.

Re: Topic of the Week: Global Warming.

Great article.

Btw...I actually know how and why climate change is occurring so if someone fancies a proper discussion, I understand it now so I can debate it better.

I disagree. It is a fact that we caused the 27 million square mile hole in the ozone above Antartica. I also think that fighting climate change and fighting alternative fuels to reduce our dependence on foreign oil go hand in hand. While I'm not going all Al Gore on you, the amount of toxins we release in the atmosphere is staggering.
