I've never really thought about it, tbh.

I try not to eat carbs at all unless it's my first meal (I have a bowl of Alpen high fruit specifically for the fibre), but other than that, I never really think about it all.

Do you think they could in some way hinder or help pre/post-workout?

Post work out should be quik absorbing cabs and protein. Fibre will work in the later meals.

that's the way i feel also. my post workout is usually a shake in water and some dried fruit (usually cranberries) of some sort.

since fiber slows digestion, post workout isn't when you want it slowing you nutrients from digesting and absorbing.

When I first saw that article, I thought about stopping eating oat post workout because they are slow absorbing with high fibre, but the more I researched, the more people I found said they saw good results having oats in a post workout shake.

I actaully have some simple carbs and creatine and BCAAs straight after working out, and then about 15 - 20 mins later have my big shake.
