I've heard people say they will not drink any water with their food because it effects digestion.
Anybody have any thoughts on this? |

God, I have to drink water with most stuff to get it to go down. So I should hope not otherwise I'm stuffed.

I've even read a couple articles on it but of course can not find them now.
Basically the gist of it was the water "waters" down the digestive fluids in your stomach. | |

I've heard schools of thought on both sides. I don't have an opinion on it. I don't drink anything before I eat, and have my drink afterward because I save room to eat more food. Drinking, say, soda or a frosty adult beverage before dinner kills my appetite. | |

To my knowledge, drinking water before you eat acts as an appetite suppresant, makes you full faster. And ive heard that from many people. It does make sense if it diludes your digestive "juices" a little. but , 1quick1, you are the first to tell me this. Ill research some to find out. | |

| Problems. No link to said research. No distinction between a little and a lot. 6oz, 8oz, 16oz, 320z,. The site seems to be a "TMZ" type page.....follow what the "stars" are doing.
I drink 10-16oz at EVERYMEAL. What about the water in a protein shake. Once again the "studies" have freaked the public. You SHOULD NOT dring sugar drinks w/ a meal for insulin spike reasons.
Drink up my friends. Poorly digested food will give you gas. So if you fart a lot....It may be due to exess fluid......OR not!
The stomach only breaks food down, and it will not pass until it is broken down enough, digestion and absorbtion take place in the intestines.?
I call B/S on this.
