Good Pasta Brand? Sacue too?

Can anyone recommend a healthy whole-grain/wheat pasta?

On the same topic, what are some healthy sauce choices?

Re: Good Pasta Brand? Sacue too?

most pastas are the same consisting of Durum Wheat (high protein and gluten content). I have two in my cuburd right now, Hodgson Mill (100% Durum Wheat) and Trader Joes with Flax. Both have essentially the same nutrition facts so it just comes down to how well each pasta cooks up. I look for a low sodium pasta sauce, the best sauces are homemade so look around your local market (sometimes the big grocers have them too).

The only thing I make sure to do when I make pasta is to ADD MEAT!

Re: Good Pasta Brand? Sacue too?

stopp being picky....you need to consume calories. Whole Wheat or White pasta, Brown or White rice. not a big difference is you are trying to gain weight.
The best pasta would be home made from whole wheat ant the best sauce would be home made from tomatos grown in your own garden.
