Bodybuilding

Motivation In Bodybuilding

So you want to the start gaining weight or muscle or to even lose fat and get interested in bodybuilding. The first thing you will need is motivation, which is very important in bodybuilding. Motivation is not something that some one can give you, Motivation has to be of your own free will, but the thing you have to understand about motivation is that there are 2 types. Good motivation and bad motivation.

For example a bad motivation is when you hate yourself for being the way you are, example being fat. Good motivation is when you are motivated by a "bodybuilder" that you know or there are tons of things that can motivate you. If you still don’t feel motivated get yourself a personal trainer or a partner that you can train with at the gym or at home.

In bodybuilding you also need to be patient because you won’t get your results that you’re hoping for on the next day or so.

You can also take a look at young/older bodybuilders pictures before they started bodybuilding and after, and hopefully that would get you motivated. Once you have motivated yourself, keep it up. Because you don’t want to lose interest in what your doing. Bodybuilding is also having had a great physique and keeping in great shape. Once you have really motivated yourself you will be able to get out of bed early and hit the gym for cardio or whatever you’re routine is, bodybuilding will hopefully become your life! Also when you are at the gym or training at home just keeps your goal in your head for some extra motivation.

Bodybuilding has different kinds of goals

Burning fat
Gaining muscle
increasing weight
dieting
having an excellent physique
the list doesn’t end there. There are much more goals depending on what you want to do.

Nutrition

Nutrition is another important thing in bodybuilding. To grow your body needs to recover. If you are serious about bodybuilding you need to eat at least 5-7 meals a day, as you get used to this you may wish to have some more meals. When I say you need to eat at least 5-7 meals I don’t mean eat junk food or what ever you can get your hands on. You should concentrate on low fat food and getting protein in your body and low carbohydrates. You need protein in your body for your muscles that have been trained. Meat has a lot of proteins in them that are clean. Such as lean steak, chicken, turkey, fish, tuna. Don’t just eat anything with protein. You have to check what you’re eating. You should also limit your fat intake. Most foods have a bit of protein like burgers and bacon but you must remember that these kinds of foods are very slow to digest because of the amount of fat that are stored in them.

Water

Water is the most important thing. Remember when I was talking about protein above? Protein and fat metabolism are dependent on water. Without water carbohydrate can not be stored. You should all at least drink 1 gallon of water a day, but the more protein and fat you take in the more water you will have to drink. During exercise you need water because you get tired or might even get dehydrated. So it is important to drink water while training.
