Re: How does my new diet look

I'm training to gain muscle.

If I eat 6 eggs a day do I need to take any yokes out or is it fine to leave them all in? Are normal potatoes OK to eat or do I need sweet potatoes?

When I made the list all I had was ground beef so I was going of 4oz. of that. I know if I eat a chicken breast or something else the protein will be a little different.

Re: How does my new diet look

Ok, as far as the eggs go, you COULD do 6 whole eggs, but that comes with higher cholesterol. If you would like to keep the cholesterol down, do, say, 4 whole eggs and 3 whites. Or Maybe 3 whole eggs and 5 whites. Work with it. See what works for your body. Now, with the potatoes....... same thing. Sweet potatoes are a first choice, but if your body is forgiving and burns food off easily without storing it as fat, then go ahead and have some russets or red potatoes. Reds are my favorite.

Yeah. 4 oz.is fair enough to call 1 serving of meat. It's about the size of a mans wallet. Good enough.

Re: How does my new diet look

I started this diet today and I have a question... How can you people possibly get down 6 eggs and a cup of oats. By the time I was half way done I was gagging every time I put more food in my mouth.

coffee grinder for the oats and drink egg whites, or cook the eggs and drink the oats. Its not hard at all

Re: How does my new diet look

....Also, it's because of how much you weigh. Before we start working out, we don't really pay attention to the meals we eat. Sometimes, we go maybe.... without breakfast or lunch, and because we eat a big supper from time to time, we think we can really put the food away. Such is not the case when you are eating a handful of meals daily. AS you get heavier, you will be able to handle larger, and more frequent meals.
