whats the cheapest way to buy meat?

Where do you buy your meat from. is it best to buy in bulk or just enough for a couple days?

Re: whats the cheapest way to buy meat?

Do you have a butcher shop nearby? Sometimes I buy my meat in a local butcher shop. Its not owned by a government, its like a local thing since people hunt wild game around my area.

Re: whats the cheapest way to buy meat?

Costco or Sams Period...or if you know someone who sells to stores.
Butcher shops will be the MOST expensive.
I paid for my $45 costco member ship in 6 weeks just on the $$$ saved from buying chicken.

Re: whats the cheapest way to buy meat?

I agree with the Costco comments. I just got a membership and it's the best. 5 dozen eggs for $8, 2 kg of cottage cheese for $10, and great deals on bulk chicken breasts or ground turkey. You can always freeze it and chip away at it package by package.

5x12=60. 6 eggs= 48g of protein (the large eggs), 60/6= 10. 8 bucks last 1 1/2 days.

With my 20 bucks, My meals last 14 days. A turkey leg is near 50g of protein. Local butchery shops FTW!
