Hear is the latest Video Clip of Allan Best. He set a new 954.75 LBS
PR in the squat during training!!! Remember this is just training, when he gets his good gear on, is able to use a mono-lift, has a Texas Squat bar and is psyched up then he should be very close to a 1,000 LBS contest lift! Or 1/2 a ton of spine crushing, wheel chair for life pounds!
Note, the weights are in Kilos, so there is a chart for the mathematically challenged that was filmed after the lift! Also the collars weigh an added 7lbs!
Hear are a few pictures of Alan Best training for the 2008 Ironman Powerlifting meet which was like 4-5 months back. He trains at Estrada's Gym on the Central Coast of California. Estrada's is one of the last hardcore/private gyms in the area. He placed second by 11 pounds or so, due to the fact that his new set of grooved briefs messed up his form, so he had to ditch them on his last attempt. This only allowed Alan to break into the 860's very easily, instead of the 900's which he trained for. Alan is still young and will hopefully have many more years of productive training ahead of him!

Also, those lifts were made with a Texas Power Bar and not the Texas Squat Bar!
