Problems with Already Read Posts

Not sure this is the right place to post this, but ever since joining the site, I have had problems using the go to first unread post button for threads. This works fine on all other sites I visit (some use the same forum software as this one), but here, the forum does not always remember where I left off previously.

Some days it seems to and others it does not. Some days I click the option for a thread I have read before and it takes me right to the first new post. Then today as an example, I use the same option on the same thread (new posts have been posted since my last visit) and it just puts me right at the first post in the thread. It doesn't remember where I left off previously.

This seems to be hit and miss with just about any thread on any given day.

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

Hmmm I'm not sure, that's strange. I use the "new posts" link pretty much all the time but mine seems to work okay. Is anyone else having issues?

Every once and a while when i use the 'new post' button towards the end of the day, it brings up posts that arent new, or ones that I was the last one to post in. Thats hasnt happened a whole lot though. Most of the time it just brings up new posts for me.

On this thread just now as an example. I clicked it to read the new posts. The thread opened and was positioned on my first post. Obviously I've read my post, I posted it. Quite frustrating trying to read the site and keep up with it.
