Rep Power: 3625 | College Football Discussion Thread How the hell can you have a sports section without any college football threads!
I know 1quick1 doesn't care anymore this year because Ohio State got blown out by a far superior team earlier this year , then lost a close one to Penn State, but I still care because I'm hardcore like that. |

Rep Power: 3625 | Re: College Football Discussion Thread Texas at Texas Tech should be a good game today, and after Texas beat Oklahoma, Texas Tech is the only team that I thought had a good shot at beating them. If the winner of this one goes undefeated, they get into the national championship game. I still think Alabama is going to lose at least 1 game this year, so Penn State is looking pretty good to make it into the national championship as well if they keep winning. Alabama may lose to LSU, even though LSU hasn't been overly impressive this season, and I don't see Alabama winning the SEC championship game. The winner of today's Georgia/Florida game is my pick for the SEC champion this season, and I'm betting on Florida. |

Rep Power: 3625 | Re: College Football Discussion Thread Someone over at bb.com negged me the other day because I said that Utah wasn't an elite team. Their comment was that Utah>USC because they play in a better conference and they are going to go undefeated. I think that TCU is going to beat Utah next week, and USC would crush Utah if they played. USC's offense isn't great this year, but they have the best defense around, and there are enough talented athletes on offense to get the job done when they need to. |

USC has won more games than any other team since 2002, have gone to a BCS bowl in each of the last six seasons with a 5-1 record (and they were leading by 12 with just a few minutes left in the one loss) and they will most likely finish this season with a record of 11-1. |

Rep Power: 3625 | Re: College Football Discussion Thread USC's defense is fucking awesome. I wish our offense was consistent... I think in a bowl game we'd still hold our own against any team in the nation because the defense is so good, but the offense needs to step it up a notch.
Florida is looking good for winning it all right now. They were my pick several weeks ago, and Texas Tech is doing their part to knock Texas off. A one loss Florida team gets in over every other one loss team IMO, and I think they'd work Penn State over. I really wanted to see Oregon State win the Pac 10 and have USC get an at large bid with the possibility of playing Florida, but I don't think that will happen now. Florida is going to win it all, and Oregon State is going to lose to Arizona, and possibly Cal. |
