Detroit has excellent scouting. when you get players like Datsyuk and Zetterburg in like the 5th and 6th rounds, you know someone did their homework.
I heard somewhere that Ken Holland told the players that if they want to play on his team no one can make as much or more than Lidstrom - and no one does. Quote:

Fleury has been standing on his all playoffs, and Talbot, Kennedy, Letang and Fedotenko who was huge in Tampas Cup final against Calgary, have been providing some nice secondary scoring.
in my opinion, Pittsburgh HAS to win either game 1 or 2 in Detroit to have a chance. |

I'm sorry, but after this game the pens are DONE. There's no way Fleury will come back solid after giving up the goals he did. He's just lucky Maltby didn't put that puck in, because Maltby is freakin TERRIBLE.
Well, i'll be in the Joe later tonight. I'll be wearing either a Helm Shirt or an Yzerman Jersey with my face painted red/white camo style... |

Rep Power: 1 | Re: 2009 Stanley Cup Thread I agree with your issues with Bettman completely. He's convinced he's never wrong and soccer on ice is a good analogy.
I also really respect the way the Red Wings are run. They have a good scouting system and build superstars.
The reason I'm cheering for the pen's is because they're the underdogs. Most of the wings have won multiple times and I'd like to see something new (if I were a red wings fan this would be great, but I'm not). |

stupid crosby fans, they aren't even pittsburgh fans...just crosby fans.
what a pussy!
anyway, should be a solid game tonight. I totally understand the whole underdog thing, but it seems all my teams just happen to be the favorite |
