Myself being an Energy freak...i have been trying different energy products lately and reviewing them... I rate each supp based on 1.Taste, and 2. Kick, on a 1-5 scale(1 = worst). My list is expanding quickly. Feel free to add in a good/bad energy supplement and/or comment on the ones i have posted here.
Energy Supplements
Tab Energy – This did nothing for me, felt no sensation at all.
Taste 3 Kick 1
RedBull – Got a little tense, nothing big. Taste 3 Kick 2
Rockstar(Diet also) – Pretty good…not hyper but not asleep either hehe.
Taste 4 Kick 3
Monster(tDiet also) – Same as Rockstar pretty much.
Rockstar Juiced – Good Taste...got a small kick.
Taste 4 Kick 3
ABB Adrenaline Formula – Got a good kick from this one, plus ABB bottles look cool. hehe.

ABB Speed Formula – Pretty much the same as Adrenaline.

Redline – All I can say is wow. I was hyper all day long from one bottle. However, the taste I'm a bit iffy on...

give focus XT from SNS a go, its good stuff. unfortunatly its not a ready to drink like the ones above but its definatly worth it pre workout, and pre class.
I might reccomend the following... ABB Speed Shot...250 milligrams of caffeine and it gave me a big boost with little to no crash. Nice 8oz serving makes this easy to drink. Comes in grape and fruit punch. Endorush - BSN...Expensive because the bottle reccomends 4 servings, though I reccomend 2. The energy is pretty good on this one but a little ridiculous to make a 16 oz 2 serving bottle rather than an 8 oz bottle most people can just drink. This comes in Fruit Punch, Grape, Lemon Lime, and Orange and for the most part all taste really good. Keep in mind this has been marketed as an N.O.-Xplode rtd without creatine. NUSPEED - Nutricor Labs...the taste isn't that great on this one but again, another 16 oz bottle that is 2 servings. Unsure of the exact caffeine amount in an entire bottle of Endorush, however this bad boy brings 600 mg per the entire bottle and 300 mg per serving. This probably being the strongest energy drink available behind the older ephedrine supplements. Methyl Speed - Iron Tek...really good taste great energy and better yet, a really good on the go prework rtd...Comes in 4 flavors...Fruit Punch, Lemonade, Grape, and Orange. While the caffeine amount is unknown, it does contain 4.5 grams of active ingredients including Arginine AND Creatine Methyl Ester. No crash from this and it comes in an easy to drink 12 oz serving.
Not necessarily in order but those are probably my favorites. Honorable mentions go to Twinlab Energy fuel, Worldwide Extreme Thermo Rush, and Cytosport Xcyto.

To be fair, the only reason why NuSpeed is better is because it is 16 oz instead of 8 and contains 2 full servings per bottle. I mean they pretty much took a 16 oz bottle and poured two energy drink servings in it, sealed it up and there you go.
My wife works for a company that helps her be self employed, and there is a really good drink called XS energy blast that comes in a variety of awesome flavors that kickstarts my workouts.....I drink one about 30-45 minutes before my workouts and I get a sustained amount of energy w/o the carbs.
Example:
8.4 oz serving
16 calories
protein: 2 grams
carbs: 2 grams
no sugars
vitamin B-12: 4,900% of the DRV

You know I was actually working the other day, and this rep for XS came through my line and gave me their card...Haven't got to try the drink out tho. I'm thinking about ordering some of these off their site...i dunno..i mean do you get really hyped or just kinda lightly going?
-Focus - 8.5/10 - solid focus, high mental clarity
-Immediate Boost - 7/10 - pretty solid
-Continued Boost - 2/10, product lacked horribly.
-Side FX - (Happened with me, might not happen with others) HORRIBLE. The caffeine in a full serving is too much, combined with the rest of the stuff made me so uncontrollably sick i had to cut my workout and go home.
-Overall - 6/10 - Decent product

-Focus - 2/10 - never noticed much enhanced focus with this supplement.
-Immediate Boost - 7/10 - pretty good kick in the ass
-Continued Boost - 4/10 - dies down after abit
-SideFX - Recommended dosage- Mild Anxiety
1 cap over dosage - rapid heartbeat, nervousness, anxiety
- Overall - 7/10 - Good product if your into some relatively unclean, immediate energy
Xenadrine NRG
-Focus - 5/10 - decent focus, basic caffine effects
-Immediate Boost - 9/10 - Jesus. 3-4 minuits after taking the star shaped pills, i get really energetic
-Continued Boost - 4/10, dies down for the most part
-SideFX - (happened to me, might or might not happen to someone else..duh)
Intense testicular pain. Nothing in the ingredient profile indicates something that might trigger this, but this only happened to me while on this supplement, went after I cycled off, and returned when i came back on.
-Overall - 1/10 - I want to keep my testicles, thank you
Ergopharm AMP
-Focus - 6/10 - decent focus, nothing special.
-Immediate Boost - 7.5/10 - solid stuff, wakes me up.
-Continued Boost - 10/10 - This is where this stuff shines! Very clean, long lasting, innervating energy. Love it.
-Side FX - none
- 1 cap over - none
- 2 caps over - Mild anxiety, slightled elevated heartbeat.
- 3 caps over - anxiety, rapid heartbeat, nervousness, nausea
Overall - 8.5/10 - The continued boost is what im looking for, and this stuff gave me what I wanted.
I have not tried any of the above drinks. But I do own a juicer. Beets, carrots,apple, celery,sinich and parsely....Juice 'em and drink.. WOW talk about a energy boost, and a mood booster too.

Ok I can contribute here. I'll use the scale of the OP, but I'm going to give my self a tolerance rating of 4.5 (high)
Biotest Spike- This was decent. The pills were pretty big, but I only had to take 2 of them and it gave a steady, short term boost. Overall- 3
Ergopharm Amp'd- Gave me almost no noticable results. Overall- 1
Anabolic Xtreme Stim-X- A little bit of a boost. I've been hearing great reviews of this, so I want to try it again at a higher dose. I only took 1/day from a sample packet. Overall- 3.5
Hi-Tech Stim-Er-X- This is the formula with low-dose ephedrine, caffeine, and guggulsterones. Pretty standard ephedrine supplement, though the ratio was a bit off (e:c). Worked well for a while until I adapted. Overall- 4.5
Vaso-Pro Ephedrine HCL- Plain old ephedrine HCL. Still have a couple packs that I picked up before the re-ban. Again works ok until I adapt. Overall- 4
Universal Shock Therapy- This stuff tasted like somebody's chemistry experiment (ya... grape or fruit punch flavored my ass :rolleyes: ). And it also made me kind of nauseous both times I tried it. Little if anything for energy. Overall- 0.5
Epic 5-Tetra- Aside from the horse suppository pills, this is probably my favorite supplement tried to date. I felt very focused and energetic. Ready to jump into the next set right away. I only had one sample pack, but I may actually pick up a bottle of this sometime. Definately would recommend trying it. Overall- 4.5-5
I've pretty much addapted to most energy supplements(minus ephedra cause I just don't use it) so I've decided to take a break from all of the caffeine, etc...However the other day I tried some SuperPump250 blue ice samples we had at work and WOW, it game me HUGE energy and tremendous focus. I took it pre workout and didn't expect too much out of it being as I've adapted to most but wanted to try it for the taste. About 10 mins after ingestine my mind was clear and i was so focused. Needless to say I had one of the best workouts I had had in a long while. It was a two scoop serving and overall the taste was good, better than NoX Blue Raspberry. I'd say it's worth a try.
