I'm just wondering when I do a bulk (wont be for a while) if there would be any types of supplements you guys would recommend? nothing crazy, just like straight forward stuff, I already buy whey protein but is there anything else that I should be taking/would benefit me, besides the proper diet? thanks.
I agree and would add BCAA's. There are a number of products out there some with Glutamine and other amino acids that are designed to be taken around the training window (before during and after). Making a drink of like 15 grams BCAA's and 1-2 teaspoons of powdered Gatorade for flavor in 30 ounces of water is a great way to help manage muscle break down while training and promote protein synthesis.
You could also try protein blends rather than just whey. Some form of casein or Milk isolate would help you stay anabolic longer than whey.
I agree with the others above. Those supplements they posted are pretty much the proven basic supps. I've used that same stack for years but I like to throw a little caffeine in the mix before workouts as well :cool:
