Been feeling lethargic during the day. I don't see a difference in size and/or strength, but the scale says I've gone up 5 lbs (I see it mainly in my gut).

Rep Power: 55 | Re: Spawn Upon further research, I may not have been getting enough calories in during the day. I should probably be eating about 3800 calories a day, I've only been chowing down 3400-3500.
190 * 20 calories per lb gets me to 3800 cals. |

Rep Power: 55 | Re: Spawn My wife told me that's in my head... I am obsessed with being "fat" again. She has actually told me its in my chest and back... I am also eating a ton of calories at night, which gives me that bloated look/feeling (especially with my whey/casein shake before bed), so of course I go upstairs and look in the mirror like an idiot and beat myself up.
What I am going to start doing is adding more calories in the day, especially PRE workout to give me more energy. |

First, I am a new member. But I am not new to weightlifting or bodybuilding. I am a WABDL record holder and have won a world championship at age 47. I am totally steroid free. I, too, have questions regarding Spawn by Myogenix. I have recently used it, and have experienced POSITIVE gains. My concern for anything effective is this: What are the side effects and consequences (to include testing positive for steroids)?
As a research scientist, I tend to look at things with an unbiased and critical (perhaps cynical) eye. Most supplements I have used didn't work for me. But a lot of this may be an interaction with my age (50 next week!), diet, training method, and lifestyle. For this reason, I hate to poo-poo any supplement. But I can attest that Spawn DID work for this kid. Maybe a synergistic combo when used with creatine and "NO2" products? People are accusing me of using steroids, as I'm lean (meaning vascular) and strong for my weight / age. I bench 365 lbs. (shirted) and squat 425 lbs., wraps and belt only, during a leg training session. I currently weigh 175 lbs. The Spawn really seemed to make a difference; at the very least, it got me past a sticking point. Compared to many costly supplements (cost being relative), I can recommend Spawn, but the results may vary from person-to-person. On the down side, I have had acne-related issues since using it. I use basic skin care products for acne -- not a big deal -- but this is admittedly odd for an old-timer. Best of luck with your training.
