I am wondering if a recovery protein is the same as a regular protein. i ask because my brother plays baseball he bought both a protein and a recovery protein. he doesnt use the recovery one ever its brand new so im wondering if its safe for me to use it as a weight gainer or as a meal replacement. it might sound like a dumb question since it is a recovery protein but i looked at the chart on the b ack and it has alot of protein in it. so is it ok if i take that ?
and is it safe to change products ?? or should i stick to one brand all the time?
I'm guessing the only real difference is this "recovery" protein is a quickly digesting whey protein. It's fine to use it in shakes, etc. Just ad milk (or 2% milk) and that would slow the protein's digestion. Mix it with skim milk if you want something that digests very quickly (for post workout).

ok thanks another thing i wanted to know is i know the protein shake is meant to replace a meal what is the maximum amount of shakes a day that i should take .. and how much protein should i be taking in a day ?
Take 1 gram of protein per lb of body weight per day.
In theory, a protein shake can serve as a meal or snack. But what's really important is that you get enough overall calories and protein. There's nothing magic about protein powder--it's just a convenient way to ad extra protein.
