Typical supplement questions

Hello, I am new to the website and I am just looking for some information. I'm 17 years old, and I want to start working out again since I got a gym membership. I plan on working out often (4 times a week) but I really don't know what I should take as a supplement. I was fast results (of course) but I also noticed that I could use more energy before my workouts, since sometimes I think to myself that I don't really want to work out. Any sort of advice is welcome, as well as some advice on what products I should use. Thanks.

Re: Typical supplement questions

1. Forget "fast results" from a supplement. Won't happen.

2. Eat 1 gram of protein per lb of body weight each day. Minimum of 17 calories per lb of body weight daily for mass gain.

3. Build your routine around compound movements. You can probably train a muscle group about ever five days or twice a week.

4. Helpful supplements are a multivitamin (wal-mart brand is what I use), creatine (any reputable brand), protein powder (any reputable bran). Be very skeptical of anything else.
