Optimum 100% Whey Protein

Just bought this supplement last week, is it really as good like everyone says? If you use the same supplement, how many shakes do you have a day?

Re: Optimum 100% Whey Protein

It is good being it is pure form Protein. And it's the highest in grams while maintaining a low calorie count per shake. This is also good being that your system can only take 30 grams of protein in one shot at a time before going into total waste.

Re: Optimum 100% Whey Protein

That's the brand I use. I normally drink a couple of shakes a day.

Get at least 1 gram of protein per lb of body weight a day. Most of your protein should come from FOOD (not shakes).

I'm with you on this one BIG GUNS ,I consume anywhere from 55 to 60 grams every meal and I'm growing so i don't think I'm wasting any but as long as you stay hydrated and take plenty of fiber you should be ok and regular just my two cents 2p1

Re: Optimum 100% Whey Protein

Also keep in mind that different proteins digest over different time periods...So a 90gram protein serving may have 30g isolate, 30g egg albumin, and 30g casein...I tend to think that nothing is really going to waste there, over the many many hours of digestion.

Re: Optimum 100% Whey Protein

I personally prefer a casein based protein. Like Optimums casein protein. This happens to be my favorite overall protein. Digests slower, but causes (me) no lactose issues. Try some in your morning coffee with some stevia - great way to get going in the morning with barely any carbs, and 30 grams of protein.
