Oh, and chin-ups really rock - add them in, they're fantastic! I've got better bis now I'm doing them than I ever did doing bicep curls.
 Work that one out. |

tricp pull downs | #1. Hey Andy, Your arms grow in proportion to your bodyweight increasing. If your bodyweight overall stays the same, arm growth will remain stagnant. sp?
#2. Do this. Standing barbell curls, hammer curls. Do about 6-8 all out sets of each. Then for triceps, do close grip bench press, lying tricep extention (skullkrushers), and dips. Do ONLY these exercises and work it like you actually want big arms.
#3. Shoulder exercises have lilttle to do with big arms.
#4. Slow down bro. With almost every thread you start, you are concerned about your development. This stuff takes a long time unless you are taking mad doses of steroids. You are starting to remind me of Daman. |

We have no problem with all the questions around here but you seem like you expect things over night. Quote:

Daman is banned for his constant asking of the same questions and his shitty 'God is out to make me not grow muscle' attitude. |

Rep Power: 3510 | Re: Arms Things work differently for everyone. While I agree that doing things such as rows and chins do work the arms well, I also think that they do need a little bit of direct work no matter what stage you are at. On top of bent rows or chin ups I would probably add about 4-6 sets of a variation of curls done slow and strict. For the triceps I would do just a few more sets since they are a larger muscle group, but for direct work I would definitely suggest dips followed by some skull crushers or close grip bench. It's all about finding what works best for you.
Also, don't be measuring every day. The satisfaction you get after checking your arms again after a few months and finding that they grew a good amount can feel great! Keep at it and listen to the advice everyone here has to offer and you will definitely grow. |
