Just wondering...

After the noob gains when you can gain some crazy ass muscle in only a few months, how much muscle would your average 17 year old teenager expect to gain say per week?

It's just a thought really cause I've been working out regularly since March, which is nearly 8 months now, so really all those noob gains have diminished by now. I've heard that the body can usually make about 0.25-0.5lbs of muscle a week, assuming a good diet and proper training with rest, and anything else is just storage as fat.

Any truth behind this? Feel free to discuss

Re: Just wondering...

Thats like asking "what is the best car?" There's so many different body types and different appetites that people have. Many people train hard and diet dillilgently........ just to put on 5 lbs. of muscle in one year. I gain about 2-3 lbs. a year. This year though, I am 10 lbs. heavier than I was last year at this time, but that has never happened before.

Re: Just wondering...

my noob gain was from 103 to 130 and in the last 2 months i gained 7 more pounds, and im not even strict on food and i hardly drink my protein once a week. but friday i started a strict diet and protein shake with every meal and ill see how that does, i seem to gain decently but only through working out.
