Rep Power: 24 | Having surgery on Monday Hey guys. I'm having an invasive surgical procedure performed on Monday. The doctor told me that I can't lift any heavy weights for 3 weeks. He says I can engage in stretching, cardio and light weights during the 2nd week. I'm on a cut right now, should I lower my calories or keep them the same (1500 - 1700 calories)? I just want to maintain my fitness levels and muscle mass during recovery. Thanks in advance for any tips.
BTW, it's a cosmetic surgical procedure. |

Rep Power: 19 | If your not gonna stay so active during your first week, my advice just keep it slightly low, in ur second week, keep it the same since you can attempt light cardio sessions, light weights and so on. Good luck on surgery, hope all goes well. |

Rep Power: 24 | Thanks Abyss. So does 1200 sound alright? I probably won't have much of an appetite anyways *lol* . Thanks for the well wishes, I need it. I'm nervous as hell because if they f*ck it up, I'll be pissed. |

And for the week just eat healthy with your normal calories..and then second week cardio I would stay away from weights just so theres not a chance of anything |

Rep Power: 24 | Hey Striker. Thanks, it's not an extremely difficult procedure so I should be just fine. I'll definitely be eating clean. |

I am sure they won't mess it up, you will be just fine, God bless. |

Rep Power: 40 | Good luck, I hope it goes well and you recover fast.
As for advice, I would do what your Doctor says.....3 weeks is nothing and better safe than sorry. Just eat clean and recover from the surgery. |
