Boxing/Cutting workout

I've been thinking a lot how to combine my cutting phase with my boxing training and this is the workout that I'd like to do: (my main goal is muscle and cardio endurance)

15 minutes running
Push-ups: 3 sets to failure
Sit-ups: 3 sets to failure
5 2-minute long rounds boxing with 1 minute breaks in between

I also eat 6 times a day, mostly clean food, and I weigh 145 pounds and I'm quite lean, but my 6 pack isn't visible so that's the thing that I'm working on. Right now I'm bulking and doing Rippetoe's (on my 7th week).

So, what do you guys think? Your help is very appreciated

Well... I'm still on my bulking diet (3000+ calories) and I'm still doing Rippetoe's and my lifts are going up, but I want to be cut for the summer. I'll eat super clean in the summer, do the workout I posted 3 days a week and when the fall comes, I'll try Bill Starr's program. So I actually want to be big, I really do

First of all nothing wrong with boxing cardio, add if ya like, its all about making it interesting.

Second of all if you wanna get lean for Summer, that is way off. I would surely concentrate on some lean massing up for a couple of months.

Well, I'm on Rippetoe's, training with heavy weights, so I guess this can be called "packing on lean mass" don't you think?

Btw, thanks for the help everyone really appreciate it

good stuff, as long as you see about the whole earting thing.

but as for a good cardio/fat reducing source - some bag work would be great and fun as a bonus!

What about the workout itself? Should I stick to it?

well yes and no! You should do a workout that you enjoy. you seem to be into the one your doing - but its also telling you do increase weight each workout, when sometimes thats not possible and your actually starting to find the poundage quite heavy. you shouldn't be doing a weight that may jeopardise your form. so you know in yourself whether you can keep to the whole workout plan and what itsasking of you.. but if not, then change.

You say you've been doing it for 7 weeks now, so its certainly a good time to change things around if you want to...

My Kickboxing training sh*** all over HITT.
starjumps, knee ups, speed squats, bike, tred in2 ya routine?

on training days we do stretches/

followed by all different combo's for about 45minutes.

then sprints 30metre gradually building ..wall to wall twice, four times, eight times...

then more drills

then we hold our arms out for about 5minutes to warm down, hey it sounds easy holding your arms out but daMMM skippy its hard after all the punching.

then bow.

you should do all of your drills first mate then do your sprints.

Do your pushups ans situps as a warm up bro and after the sprints maybe.

regards
Jaymes
