Do gloves help with training?

I am thinking of buying some gloves to use with training to stop calluses (or what ever they are called) from forming on my hands (well to stop the ones there from getting worse, if its not too late), but also to improve grip.
Do they help at all?

i get segs on every one of my palms and fingers, i prefer to train with out and when i was using weight training gloves ( fingerless) the segs on my hands didnt go away they stayed the same if not bigger.
they do help with grip though. but i prefer to use what god gave us....Raw Grip

I find the callouses will be there if you are lifting heavy, gloves or not. I prefer without. Never really felt like I had the same grip with them.

I have numerous callouses on my hands so thats not an issue. I like to use gloves because it just feels like I have more support and comfort. (listen to me, I sound like I'm doing a commercial for bra's. )

Thank you for asking brutha. Yes, they do lift. I like to say they "push up."

I also use seamless gloves, wireless gloves, sweater gloves, and wonder gloves. Oh yes ladies, I know a little about this.

Wonder gloves make me feel sensual.

Yes Daman, I think you'll find your grip to be a little more comfortable.
