Ok, I've been back on the board, but kind of silent. Thanks to those of you who gave me rep. Reps back to you are forthcoming. Well, I was handling some business in the construction world and making some nice profits. Then, I landed a job driving a vaccume truck in the oil fields of California. I couldn't pass this one up guys. Construction is slow in Cali. right now, but the oil fields are booming. Listen, I have a great job. I make about 90 thousand a year, I work about 12-14 hours a day. If I work 12, I usually charge about 13-14 hours. I get paid from the time I get up, to the time I pull back up in my driveway. It's nice. I drive my big rig to one tank, pull a load of water on, and deliver it to another tank. It takes about
1 hour to offload because the water goes through a series of filters.
There's 2 things I do to pass the time.................
#1. Sleep
#2. Work out with weights.
No lie. I have a bunch of weights that they let me bring out there. So I pretty much work out all day, and then rest, and see how much I can eat. Of course, I need to be productive. I need to pay attention. I need to be responsible and safe. So, while other truck drivers smoke cigarettes, listen to country music, and look forward to the weekend so they can drink bad beer (i.e. Budweiser) , I'm passing the time and spending my day doing what I love to do while on the clock.
I'll not keep this job forever because I am slowly building a construction business, but it sure is fun while I'm here. They said that I can even bring a bench out there for chest presses! It's so great working out on these beautiful spring days, outdoor, up in the foothills of my city.
