I'm thinking about getting a bike for some cardio this summer. I don't want to spend a bunch of money maybe just like $150 or something. Any good suggestions? |

Rep Power: 101851 | Re: Thinking about getting a bike? Are you going to road ride or off road? That bike wou;ld be OK for a dirt road, But I would not take it on anything very rough. Plus that bike will suck on the road as you will be sitting up too straight. I would look into a "cross" bike. It's like a road bike only on thicker tires.
Or this road bike. GMC Denali Men's Road Bicycle - Dick's Sporting Goods It has 3 chain rings (front) so you will be able to go up most any hill. I have that style. Just give it some thought and see if they will let you test ride in the parking lot. If it doesn't feel good there....trust me in 2 miles it will fell 10X worse.
But also check out craigslist.com or Ebay. I got my Santa Cruz frame on Ebay. 1 year old $1700 frame for $500. Just to let you know the kind of deals out there. Bike shops may have payment plans. If you get something that is constantly giving you probs.....you'll stop riding and will have wasted the $$$$
Keep me posted. I'll see what I can dig up.

Also that Denali you posted Big Guns, has 3 size...20'', 24'', and 26''. I'm assuming thats different sizes for kids/ladies/adults and I would want the 26''? |
