I had a goal to do a set of pull ups while hanging 2 45 lb. plates by the end of summer. A conservative goal, I know. Yesterday my crew and I were at the gym on back day. We did the standard deadlifts, pull ups, dumbell rows, and ended with a killer drop set on the cable row.
I haven't worked my back in about a month. I pulled 405 on deadlift which upset me. I should be pulling more than that. But when we went to the pullups, everything felt light. Well, I did a set of 5 reps while hanging 90 lbs. No straps, no gloves. When we went to rows, I was rowing 120's for 20. It's weird how sometimes you take some time off on a muscle group, yet when you work it again you're just as strong, and in this case, stronger than before.
I need to up the weight for a goal before summer. There will be a video.
shouldn't you be lifting something heavy right now?
