Malley is right, but I think the volume is OK. You see there is a lot of science in this sport, but also a lot of well proven opinions. Malley has had great success training himself and others as have I....But we may still disagree on some things. What I would do is try your new routine for 3 months let's say and see if you are making gains(strength and size) Pay attention to how your arms feel how your shoulders feel. If arms feel like they are being over worked, cut back a few sets. Or try like what Malley suggests? Unfortunatly as I stated many times EVRYONE is different. I have been getting better results as far as getting harder and leaner, but my strength on chest let's say is in the toilet w/ my large volume....But I am 45 and have a basket of injuries. Bro it's a learnig process.
One thing Malley may agree w/ me on is I think is 5X5 is dumb. I would have to do at least 3-4 good warm up sets to do a 5X5.
So just try different things, see how you feel, how you look, how your body weight is going.
You are not bothering me.....At least you ask quetions that are important. I was the same way my friend. Just keep plugging away!!
