I have always told you, my esteemed friends and fellow meatheads that if I'm not careful, I will lose weight very quickly. Since I started being consistent with recreational bodybuilding as a lifestyle nearly 10 years ago, I have retained a weight gain of about 30 lbs.
Well, anyway, when I used to get sick, I would lose 10 lbs. easy. No, I wasn't lucky.

I can hear some of you now.

I have been sick for about a week and a half and when I went back to the gym again today, I had only lost 2 lbs. This tells me that as a get older, my metabolism has slowed down. Ergo, my body will store up more of what I eat. Ergo, I should monitor my caloric intake with particular emphasis on protein.
When your metabolism is a little slower, you want to limit calories slightly and switch them around. Cut back some on carbodydrates. You can add protein grams in it's place if you need to. But at any rate, focus. Yes, I know......... both of them are 4 calories per gram:rolleyes: however, muscle is made from protein.
This is what I'm talking about when I say to pay attention to your body. Think man, think. Think about how your body acts. Think about the food you eat. Think about how your workouts reward you, and what exercises your body likes. Dont just blindly follow someone else's plans. Become an independent thinker. Study. Pay attention to your body.
