Help with a New Routine

Alright, so I am a new member here as of 5 min ago. The Deal is a need some helping gaining a good amount of weight. I am 18, 6'2ish and about 155lbs. I was a long distance runner, but not anymore as of now. I have always had a hard time gaining weight, no matter how much I eat. Now that I'm in College I with have Gym access every day, I going on a plan a sticking to it, no bullshit. I would appreciate all advice in helping me gain 30 lbs or so, Mainly upperbody, (shoulders, arms, ect). What's a good protien, days I should rest (if any), mucles to work togather. Anything as I'm not very knowlegeable about this.

Again, I'm commiting to this, I just nned to know the right wasy to go about it.

Thanks a million

Re: Help with a New Routine

To gain weight your going to need to eat more calories than you burn each day so find out you maitnence calories and eat more than that. a good way to get lots of calories is to eat a lot of oats. also you should eat some good fats like nuts or natural peanut butter. a good protein is meat, and eggs. you can use whey protein too, but you should get most of your protein from meat. what you want to do is eat as healthy as you can while getting all the calories, carbs, fats, and protein you need.

^^^ Thanks for all the comments so far.

Also what's a good protein powder that will give me the best results?

Edit: I am at awe with the amount of spelling errors I made in my first post.
