used to play 6+ hours a day...but now I have 2 jobs and go to school full time
This game is the only reason i'll be buying a PS3...and i'm going to be waiting until the game is out for a week or so before I do buy it, since its a different developer.
I played socom 1-4 then had to stop once i started college. I play COD 4 when ever i get a chance. Lately i have been getting this Downloading game settings thing that goes on for about 30min. Do you all know anything about this?
Nah, I've never played SOCOM quick, it Conflict Desset Storm that I'm a fan of and also COD4 after seeing it in action yesterday on some gamer channel.. really good!
Might have to get me a PS3 and Xbox 360 soon I think!
I bought the new SOCOM thinking sweet! found out it was ONLY online (I do play online, but when a game is only online I don't like it.. I like the solo-missions too) I traded it for Uncharted which is an excellent game.
straswer, are you a hockey fan? if so I HIGHLY recommend NHL 09.. best sports game I've ever played. albeit, I am bias towards hockey.
or if you like Resident Evil-type games, get Dead Space. probably one of the goriest/sick/twisted/best games I've played, a definite good buy.

Dead Space was an awesome game, although it still doesn't beat Doom in my eyes. It was fun for a while, but it gets kind of boring killing the same creature for 30 hours (its quite the long game)...Its definitly a good game but one I've rented once and now I'll never play again.

lol, fair enough. PS3 games.. or any new age console games that are good are too damn expensive.. but I guess, you get what you pay for!
I have it too now, but for 360. I played the hell out of 08 and this was is just like it. The game is amazing and probably the best sports game every made.

I'd have to agree there...
Its so freakin challenging though, on superstar...I get murdered. I think I should start using the play option hahaha...
the goalie's are absolutely dumb though. and the rules get screwed up on superstar. I had the computer pokecheck my goalie when he had the puck secured, puck went in the net and they counted it as a goal BSSSSSSSSSS
