Weight - 192.5 Lbs.

Time In Gym - close to 60 minutes

Body Parts - Chest

Well today finished up my first week of the Max-OT routine. I'll have to say I'm pleased so far, been a while since I've done such low reps so I figured it was time. Going through December and maybe part of January on it then it'll be time to switch it up again.

Rotator Cuff exercises in a cable X-Over
- 25 x 10 (these were to just to warm my shoulders up))
- 25 x 10
- 25 x 10

B/B Bench Press
- 135 x 10 (warm-up)
- 225 x 10 (warm-up)
- 275 x 6
- 285 x 6
- 275 x 6



D/B Incline
- 85 x 6 (this was too light, starting with 90 next week)
- 100 x 6
- 100 x 6




Dips
- BW x 15 (warm-up)
- BW + 90Lbs. x 10 (warm-up)
- BW + 135 Lbs. x 6
- BW + 135 Lbs. x6 (hard as hell!!)




Final thoughts on this weeks training. I give this week a solid 7-8, could have been better I went a little too light on some things trying to get use to the heavier weight again. My weight is starting to come up a bit now, should be at 195 Lbs. my Jan. first. The only thing I'm concerned about at this point is injuries or tendontitis. The last time I did a Max-OT routine I got tendontitis bad, but I did a full 12 weeks of it that time. I'm a lot older now and a little wiser gonna shoot for 9 maybe 10 weeks this time. If my body starts telling to to go lighter though I'm going to listen this time, lol

It was like watching myself! lol you get ready before a lift just like me and your journal look just like mine.. you even have the same looking shirt on!! lol

The only difference with yours is that your lifts are much better! I'm very impressed Eric mate... keep it up!!

Thanks Wala, yeah I liked how you have your journal layed out and thought it would be a good template to follow. I noticed the similarities before the lifts as well, some people don't understand but it does help though.

Wow, you are a strong dude. You have a strong bench press, I just started benching about 8 weeks ago and wrecked my shoulder (I figure it has another week before I can start back), I think I was going too wide, I kept going wider and wider and got stronger and stronger, I used a full ROM (touched chest with bar) but my shoulder just exploded on me about two weeks ago. I was using a grip a full hand width wider on each side than you use. Thanks for posting your video, I think when I start benching again, I am going to go with a closer grip like you show, that is good stuff. Keep it up. Sub'd

Thanks for the compliment man, yeah I have a pretty narrow bench grip. It's just what I've always felt comfortable with, I've tried the wider grip and it killed my shoulder. When I was in college I tore my rotator doing wide B/B Incline bench ever since then I haven't touched B/B Incline, I do all my incline stuff with B/B's now.
Yeah if you narrow your grip though it will definelty help with the shoulder pain.

Thanks man, I'm gonna have to get the bf back in check early next year. Been concentrating on getting up to 195-200 Lbs that I've been real laxed on my diet. No abs showing now but it's not too bad, nothing that a good month back on the strict diet want cure.

Body Parts - Legs + Calves

Today felt great, took a little longer than I wanted. We were goofing around with the camera today. Went up on all my lifts from last week. I sucking big time on squats but I'm going in the right direction. Today was my first day on N-Large 2, so I'm hoping it's gonna push me over the 195 Lb. BW mark. I've been taking 40 grams of waxy maize in my PWO shake for a couple of months now and I know a lot of people knock it but I love that stuff been getting some great pumps and I love the fact that it has zero sugar!. One things for sure legs are my weakest body part but I'm working on fixing that!


Smith Machine Squats
- 135 x 10 (warm-up)
- 225 x 6 (warm-up)
- 255 x 6
- 265 x 6
- 275 x 6




Leg Press
- 520 x 6
- 540 x 6




Stiff Leg Deadlifts
- 205 x 6
- 215 x 7



Smith Machine Standing Calve Raises
- 405 x 8
- 415 x 8
- 315 x 15



Leg Press Calve Raises
- 630 x 8
- 650 x 8




Final thoughts, this was a great workout just wish we would have went a little faster. I went up on all my lifts just gotta take it easy don't wanna go up too fast and risk getting an injury. I give it a 8/10, happy that my weight is coming up now but no signs of a six-pack anymore but that will come early next year

A *new* little rule of mine is as long as your chest goes over the stomach your fine. Also, if your chest is alot bigger than your waist its good. IE: 40 in chest and 32 in waist isnt bad.
