Rep Power: 1140 | Re: Young-One's journey to football success Earlier today, I was at a friends in their woods with them. We decided to set up an obstacle course so this is how it went:
First we had about 10-15 pound rocks in our hand(we're playing paintball soon, thought we'd try getting the feeling of a heavy gun in our hands). We ran about 40 yards to a big tree, climbed it and jumped to another tree, dropped and ran about 50-60 yards. Once we got to the finish we through the rocks at a dirt mound. Then we got some tires and set them up and ran from one side to the other trying to not let our feet stay in the tires for a long time(not sure what'd I'd call it, but I'm sure you all know what I mean). Then we got some oranges, set up some targets and tried throwing them through the targets. Then we set up 2 hurdles(one about 20 inches, the other about 24 inches) And ran the course again without the rocks. Then we set up all the tires(about 40-50 inches) and ran the course again, except this time, my friend acted as the ball carrier, and I was a blocker. We ran the course and once we reached the end I hit the tires like it was a denfensive player. Then we did some running long jumps, then some clean and jerk like things with the tires, which were light but we tried throwing into the air as high as possible, did 7 for 2 reps.
Then my weight lifting session:
Bench - 170X3,3,3,3 PR!!!
CGBP - 135X6,6,5
Row - 225X5,5,5 PR!!! (got a video, once I can get it on the computer)
Pretty good day. Gunna try doing what I did at my friend's at least twice a month. |

Rep Power: 1140 | Re: Young-One's journey to football success New rule for my routine. Saturday is field day. Whether I'm by myself or not, I'm going to be outside doing something football oriented 75% of the day. I'm going to do sprints, throw the football, run routes, set up objects to hit, do boxing stuff, and other cardio as well. |

Nice weight on the rows, with the form you use you'll be hitting the traps and other upper back muscles well, more bent over and you'll get the lats better.
You've got a really strong back man! |
