eek Maverick Mojo - Wait.....Cross what?

CROSSFIT

What am I getting myself into?


So I'm starting the journey...The crossfit journey.

Currently:

185 pounds. 13-14% bodyfat.

No supplements. (broke college kid, can't afford them)





I'll be posting the WOD in this thread and my stats for that day. My overall goal is to have better conditioning, and a fit body. My original goal (while I was in football) was to get as huge as possible. Now, I just want to have decent size, and be very fit.

Today I did Jeremy.

Three rounds, 21-15- and 9 reps, for time of:
95 pound Overhead squats
Burpees

I didn't get my time in but I certainly got my ass kicked. After I finished the three rounds, I did 5 minutes on the stairmaster and 5 minutes on the eliptical as a cool down.

SATURDAY 080726

Three rounds for time of:
Run 800 meters
50 Back Extensions
50 Sit-ups


So again today I didn't have a timer, but I'll be picking one up soon. I might have to use my cell phone to time it, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

For some odd reason once I started the third round I got some kind of crazy energy boost and busted out a real quick 800, followed by the back extensions and situps. 3rd round was the fastest of the three.

After I was done I did some hanging leg raises and pull ups just for a little extra + cool down.

Overall I give that workout a 9.5/10

Ahh yes I do agree. Crossfit is definitely amazing. The thing I love about it is you never know what you're gonna do the next day. Not one day is the same, ya know?

I did the whole bodybuilding thing but it gets so repetitive. This is the complete opposite.

yep. you think they have the exercises in a hat and just draw a few to see what workout they'll make for that day??
