Hi everyone
My name's Anuj and I came across this site through
www.GUStrength.com
I have a journal on GUS but I want to start one out here as well. I am 20 years old, studying in Texas and primarily a strength trainee. I have suffered from a few shoulder injuries and dislocations in the past but I am working back at it.
I don't follow routines. I train.
My mentor is Eric Troy who owns and operates GUS.
Strength-wise my goal is to stay injury free and to train smart.
Aesthetic-wise I want to lose some weight.
Last semester (btw: I am a Junior at Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas) I went from 175 lbs to 205 lbs following Eric Cressey's Maximum Strength. I was able to get much stronger as well. Coach Cressey was kind enough to publish my results on his blog at the time.
After Maximum Strength I have been free-balling it with the guidance of Mr. Troy.
My training is along a template (due to time restrictions):
Thursday = Deadlift Day
Friday = Extra Workout
Sunday = Squat Day
Monday = Press Day
I video-record my workouts almost always and you guys can check them out at:
YouTube - anuj247's Channel
I rotate key lifts every 4 weeks but follow the same template. 4 weeks = 1 Mesocycle.
I just got done with Mesocycle 6. Tonight I begin Mesocycle 7.
I don't quite know what my maxes are but being ultra-conservative, this is where I stand:
Deadlift: 405
Squat: 355
Bench: 240
Military Press: 185
I currently weigh in at a tad bit under 198 lbs.
I hope everyone's having a good week.
Cheers
