Not off-track at all hun. It just seems to be something that drives me now, instead of me barely getting off my arse to workout. It's a compulsion now, kind of like I'm addicted. I mean today, I've run a couple of miles, walked eight and did some bloody intensive weights yet I'm still sat here thinking I haven't done enough.

I'm getting tougher and stronger by the day.

Re: Catalyst.

Monday, 20th July.
Weights consisted of this and this.

Cardio consisted of a two mile slow jog round the park with some sprinting thrown in when I felt like it, and an eight mile walk.

Diet was pretty much spot-on today, although I think I might have to up my carbs a little.

You...are...hitting...it.

AWESOME!

That workout program looks intense! And what about all th cardio you're doing? You sound like you've had some sort of workout epiphany. You're inspiring me! Keep up the hard work...

But remember to take care of your self, too. Eat and sleep for your health.

Re: Catalyst.

This will sound weird but for the last two days I've taken an enforced break. I've walked and done some stretching, concentrated on my diet but no hard workouts.

I have DOMS everywhere so I'm making myself take it a little easier because the last thing I need at this point is an injury.

Tomorrow will be no workout per se as I'm on duty with St John's at the airshow and will be walking around from 0800 to 1830 patching up peeps who need it. Usually I can walk an easy 10 miles in that time.

Re: Catalyst.

Friday, 24th July.

I walked 12 miles in humid conditions and sweated a couple of bucketloads. And I'm surprisingly knackered. Back to the grindstone tomorrow since I'm healed now.

Good long, slow distance (LSD) cardio. How long did it take you to walk 12 miles?

About four, five hours but I was constantly pacing backwards and forwards, treating people who needed it. I rarely sat down, even had a go on the Army climbing wall that was there

Re: Catalyst.

Back to the grindstone today and boy, I'm tired...

Today consisted of this, an eight mile walk and a kick-butt circuit.

10 minutes cycling, then

1x10@70 leg press
1x10@55 chin-ups
1x10@20.9 bent-over rows
1x10 leg raises
1x10@5.5 side raises

Then repeated for 3x10 on everything.

After that I ran a mile and surprised myself. One mile in 11.43 and I crawled away near as dammit.

Re: Catalyst.

Eat clean every day, allowing only one treat meal a week.
21/31 Needs work...

Do 16 resistance training sessions (4 a week).
28/16 Holy sh*t...

Do 16 cardio sessions (4 a week minimum).
31/16 Holy sh*t x2...

Sleep at least seven hours a night.
23/31

Time to run a mile:
09/07 13.36
25/07 11.43

It's getting there...

Re: Catalyst.

Sunday, 26th July.

Cardio only today, DOMS all over again. Starting to become a habit this...

Cardio circuit, one minute (as many as I could) of each then repeated for 3 cycles.

Jogging on the spot
Side lunge with side raise
Twist and jab
Side kicks
Skipping

I also managed to fit in 90 minutes or so of pilates - a much needed workout. I think I'll try to fit in at least three or four movements every day and then one longer session when I can.

Also walked five miles today.

My diet needs work and I will be addressing that tomorrow.
